another year end review

I probably wouldn’t have posted anything again this month if I haven’t been doing this for years. And oh yes, these posts have always excited me. So here it goes… 

What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before? A lot yet now, in retrospect, I’m having a hard time enumerating them. Well, to name a few, I’ve tried rift walking, not so gutsy type really. I’ve visited HK Disneyland! I went to Vietnam to get caffeine overloaded. Traveled on a 14hr bus ride alone (wearing a rashguard). Stayed in a Kalibo Travelers Lodge ALONE overnight. Fallen in love and actually admit it and still claim it after months. 

Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I guess not much, yet again!

Did anyone close to you give birth? Can’t remember anyone.

Did anyone close to you die? Close to my close friends.

What countries did you visit?
Vietnam and Hong Kong

What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
Savings account (yet another repeat answer), MBA diploma. 

What dates from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
There are lots way gutsier than the thrill-seeking rides and adventures tried before, more spontaneous than the weirdest spontaneous trips I had, more than 10 times more therapeutic than all the retail therapy done this year and more adrenaline rush hours in the casino can bring all at the same time! Need I say more why?

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Beng part Emr Lean Enterprise Program and finishing MBA classes (at least excluding compre)

What was your biggest failure?
Not being able to take the Compre because of the policy change. 

Did you suffer illness or injury?
No major ones. 

What was the best thing you bought?
Ellue, my MacBookPro! Best purchase so far!

Whose behavior merited celebration?
AKO! ambait ko kaya this year! wahaha.. Seriously, Lovely’s life-changing career move to Yemen, the place of rockers, Mica’s career in Abu Dhabi. Kuya Sonny’s PR. Our MBPs! hehe 

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Mine. Always mine. My amazing spending behavior!

Where did most of your money go?
Same question I’m asking myself!

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Trips and purchases and awesome weekends!

What song(s) will always remind you of 2010? 
Teenage Dream. Club Can’t Handle Me. Omg. Hehe.. Updated na ako!

Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. happier or sadder? –happier.. way happier
ii. thinner or fatter? –thinner during the Master Cleanse week but fatter ata generally
iii. richer or poorer? –poorer.. pero mas feeling richer. haha

What do you wish you’d done more?
Save more. 

What do you wish you’d done less of?
Impulsive shopping.

Wala.

What was your favorite TV program?
Anong TV?!

Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
no one really. Hate is such a strong thing.

What was the best book you read?
Nothing really stands out - indifferent between Girl with a Dragon Tattoo and Hunger Games

What was your greatest musical discovery?
BIllboard charts top list! hahaha

What did you want and get?
MADAMI! What Emcee wants, Emcee gets.

What was your favorite film of this year?
Watched too many movies again. Would always remember Knight and Day. Inception pero nothing specific really stand out as a favorite. Siguro Amnesia Girl!

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
GB day - 27

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Love! nyahaha! Cheesy!

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?
Not sure how to describe it although I finally have a nice sporty shoes. Thanks Ghia for introducing Forever 21!

What kept you sane?
Coffee. Talks. Weekends.

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
JLC ever!

What political issue stirred you the most?
Vizconde case.

Who did you miss?
Mica. Beng, Cesar & Rey. Gabe. Lovely!!!

Who was the best new person you met?
Nobody stands out. (I think this is the third time I used the statement of nobody standing out)

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010:
Timing is everything. Trust that destiny is self-correcting. 

What was the nicest thing someone told you about yourself:
Too many to mention. Haha.. I cannot really say nothing stands out because in fact, most are outstanding.

The most touching experience you’ve had this year?
Mommy and Angela’s phones calls especially every time I was sick. Made me miss home more badly. 

What did you like most about yourself this year?
My ‘wala-ako-pakelam’ attitude in a good way.

What did you hate most about yourself this year?
My sometimes ‘anong-iisipin-ng-iba’ attitide in a bad way. hehe

Was 2010 a good year for you?
2010 was a great year! ‘Finally’ would have the best word to sum it in various aspects - a topic I was actually chatting up with Jones early today.

This is tough.  Hmmmm

What was your least favorite moment of the year?
That day I was asked by Ate Ida to call BA office and I found out I couldn’t take the Compre.

Do you have a new years resolution for 2011?
Small Kaizen for my dreams! Yuck! I’m such a nerdy Kaizen trainer.

Hmmm.. Sweet November!

nah! Missed John Mayer concert : (

Did you drink a lot of alchohol in 2010?
Not much - such a nice change!

Do a lot of drugs in 2010?
Not much. Jokes! Of course none!

You do anything you are ashamed of this year?
Hmmm.. well nahihiya nako sa mom ko!

How much money did you spend in 2010?
I don’t wanna know this time.

What was your proudest moment of 2010?
Probably Lean Training week 1.

What was your most embarrassing moment of 2010?
Well, family Christmas party. hehe.. epic fail!

If you could go back in time to any moment of 2010 and change something, what would it be?
Fam Chrsitmas party - sana tumahimik na lang ako. hehe.. oks lang!

What are your plans for 2011?
Project Health and Wealth for 2011. MBA diploma. DT.

How are you different now that the year has ended?
I’ve grown up but haven’t grown old. This year I think, I’ve eaten, prayed and loved more. : ) - I’d like to keep this same entry I had last year. 2010 really has been all about EPL for me!

Health. Happiness. Abundance. Love.
