january 09

January 30, 2009

What a great month to start the year! There’s nothing spectacular that happened. Very ordinary things made extraordinarily with the positive midset    : )

* stretched myself in school (so far so good) * great groupmates with brilliant minds *General Prof for General Management (Sir Yes Sir) * Found out the speed of hair growth sa panot ko, hehe * More chikahan time with Maui * Started to learn Rubix * Curious case of Benjamin Button * NO OT POLICY * Spontaneous Galera trip with Mak, Iris, Lyn and Harry (no packing policy) * Breakthrough Trainings * Exciting Office Projects * Vacation planning * Long weekend at home to close the great month : )

If there’s anything that I learned about myself that amazed me this month, it is that I go to church not out of obligation but out of the comfort I feel when I praise the Lord.  There was one time when I had no sleep and I thought I’d rather sleep than go to mass but I eventually felt uncomfortable (dementors becoming present in my room) so I rushed myself to church. Promise, ibang ibang realization to.

Too bad I failed to join the Happy Run, haven’t seen much of the Harpers and haven’t read any book except those related to class. Anyway, there’s the rest of the year to do that.

pond’s

January 11, 2009

When I saw the commercial ad of Pond’s where Aga and Charlene, I was surprised. Is it true? They got married without going steady. Friends to husband and wife? Is that a good thing? It sounds weird so perhaps it’s just an act but then why would Aga say that? My moisturizer is Pond’s and I’m clueless now if I want to use it. hahaha.. OA ako maki-relate.

I have a friend who got married after less than a year of going out with her then-bf. She was not pregnant then so I’m quite surprised when I heard she was committing herself to marriage. We used to be housemates and then, she had a long-time bf and they wanted to get married but they didn’t. Oh well, marriage like any other life moments, move in mysterious and surprising ways.

Oh well, I don’t want to get married pa naman. All these thoughts just came in when I saw the commercial. Marami ako naiisip pag nanonood ng TV so it’s a good thing I hardly watch TV. hehe..If Pond’s offer me the chance to be their endorser 10 years from now, I would share how I mesmerized my husband with my skin, of course brought by Pond’s. Hehehe.. I might even share our what-others-will-find-worth-blogging-as-a-weird-love-stories love story. : )

for a change

January 10, 2009

In 2007, with Rey leaving, Beng getting engaged, me starting MBA, we felt that it’s the ‘change’ year. Then 2008 brought us more surprising changes: Beng left for US, Cesar left for Singapore, my change in career path. There were more, these three being just the ‘tip of the iceberg’. 2009 has just started and I hope that life will not surprise me with too many changes, for a change. For a change, I don’t like welcoming too many changes. And although I always claim I’m the spontaneous type, I never realized how much I love planning until now. Even my uncles and aunties, who I feel don’t know me well, claim I plan everything. What is this implying? For a change again?

I don’t know what came into my head when I enrolled for 3 subj. No rush nga motto ko sa MBA. I was set to take 2 subject then I knew I had to take Control. It was late when I realized I could take Control and another elective and just settle for 2 subjects and go to UP only twice a week. E andun na! But then, I feel that I haven’t been stretching myself too much in acads. So panindigan na lang! Project MBA for a change. I told my boss I have a no OT Policy at work for this first 3 months. Shocked ang lolo!

For a change, in my 2 subjects, majority of my classmates are freshmen, day and night class. Ambabata nila promise! I feel old kasi they use po when talking to me because they know I’m from a different batch. Grabe! For a change, hindi ako isa sa pinakabata.

For a change, I am complying to my No OT Policy. Yihee! Ka-depressed lang last night when I had to work late at night for a mababaw reason of katamarang pumasok ng maaga. I miss free Friday nights. But my Fridays will be the same as last term so kaya to.
