I just came back from an emergency leave. Clyde left this afternoon for Singapore. I just learned late Monday. He left me an instant message in YM asking me to go home Wednesday. I wasn’t even able to reply because I was in a meeting. Later that night I asked my boss if I could take a leave. I was concerned that he wouldn’t permit me because the 1st pass of Ops Planning was set on Wednesday and I was the lead on one of the groups. I had to ask anyway. It’s family matters after all. Good thing he allowed me. God bless his soul. Sobrang bait ng boss ko! : )

The idea of Clyde leaving is not a surprise. He’s been taking extra courses application engineering for this post in SG. This week, my mother has been telling me about Clyde leaving in a week or two but I still felt like somebody threw a glass of iced water when they broke the news that he’s leaving Thurday.

I should be thankful, nad I actually am, because I was praying this for him but then I was scared for various reasons. For him, it’s his first job and his first time to be really far away from home. I remember when I was in my first job, quarterlife crisis struck me so hard. Yun lang. Good thing he is with my uncle. I was also scared for my family in Batangas. Clyde is the one who disciplines my youngest brother. Clyde is the family driver. Clyde knows practically the things I should be doing but I can’t since I’m here in Manila. Haaay! Hirap ng malayo sa family. The one day I was there was priceless. haaay! I miss my family.
