art of doing nothing

April 14, 2008

Last weekend, Anj, Boyen, Hannah and I went to Potipot Island Zambales. It was an art-of-doing-nothing weekend, something new because every out-of-town trip I have, we always cook some activities,  some timetable to follow, some itineraries to stick to. This was something new for all of us. We didn’t even bother much to plan. We just exchanged text messages, take note: walang pilitan ang naganap and voila! We still managed to let the get-together push through.

It was a simple summer outing but is also a celebration for the year (in MBA) that has been. Also, Boyen is taking an LOA next year (unti-unti talaga nila akong iniiwan.. huhu). He’s going to CDO na to work there but hopefully, he’ll be reassigned soon. It was just the four of us. Urven has work. Sef has therapy sessions. Ronald, well, we didn’t even bother to invite him.. hehe.. bounce kagad yun e.

So what exactly happened in our art-of-doing-nothing-weekend?

Stargazing. Highlight ito! Imagine a starry starry night. Beach. Mats. Ipod. We all saw shooting stars but Anj and I were too excited when we saw one. Wish!

Alcohol. Aba syempre! Tequila with pineapple due to lemon scarcity. hehe

Videoke. Konti lang kasi late na raw.

Bones. We watched the series. Just a few episodes.

Stones. We played with the stones to bounce on water. Basta kung anuman yun!

Chips overload. Imagine chips for breakfast and lunch. hehe…

Sleeeeeep. Imagine, we were supposed to go to the island 5.30 am but wdh, vacation nga di ba? So we woke up 2 hours later. At the island, I was asleep third of the time we were there. hehe

Swimming. Beach nga e!

Photoshoot! Kailangan pa ba sabihin to? Pero iba ang photoshoot this time. Career mode talaga! hehe

To add icing to our cake, gumawa kami ng konting eksena ni Anj sa great Philippine Sea!haha… On our way back to the main island of Zambales, instead of of the normal boat ride, we just held unto the wings of the bangka (ang katig, bow). 5 mins lang naman e. Lo and behold, that I though would be one of the longest 5 minutes of my life. Full body massage. Saltwater overload. Sa mga wakeboarders at banana boat riders, move over. Wala yan sa experience namin. hehe

Kulang pa ang icing. Kailangan, may cherry pa sa ibabaw. So we had another eksena sa (insert drumroll here) presinto sa Subic! hahahaha… ayoko ko ng ikwento ang mga kaganapan. Basta: putik, kotse, pula, atribidang nanay, walang-nagawang anak.

Super saya and kahit alabyu-alaxan mode ako ngayon!

Anj, Boyen, Hannah, thank you soooo much! Alabhet! Hindi natin kailangan ng dooobie para maging scooby-doobie happy! hahaha

To Ulupong and batang-maang-maangan, salamat rin kasi pinasaya nyo kami! Masarap pala kayong topic para sa mga LSE-ish at bored na nilalang. hehe
